There’s an amazing coffee shop in our town called Kudos. As a self professed coffee snob who has done cupping in New Zealand ( a coffee lover version of wine tasting) I am proud to shout out at how tasty their coffee is.

This place is like a second home to us… I swear our son’s first word was “Kudos”! We call it parent fuel and depending on how much sleep we have had depends on whether we go regular or large haha

Anyway, my fiancé, who is a personal trainer, pops in most days and in the last month alone, four people have asked to book in with him.

Four!

And here’s the kicker: he’s already fully booked.

He hasn’t handed out business cards. He’s not trying to “drum up clients”. He’s just… there. In his branded gear. Chatting to people. Showing up consistently, without a sales pitch in sight.

And it ties into my lessons I share with you and makes me want to ask you the question, how often are you showing up in places your potential clients already are?

Because whether you’re a vet physio, canine massage therapist or hydro queen, your dream clients aren’t hiding. They’re in local Facebook groups. Walking their dogs past your clinic. Scrolling Instagram while their Spaniel dries off. Watching. Listening. Lurking.

And if you’re consistent, whether that’s posting tips, turning up in their inbox, supporting the local fundraiser, or simply being visible in your community – they start to see you as the expert. The go-to. The no-brainer choice.

That’s when it flips.
No more chasing.
They start chasing you.

And let me be clear: I’m not saying you need to become a social media influencer or chain yourself to your phone. This is about small, sustainable visibility. Think:

  • Being regular with your posts (even if it’s just once a week)
  • Having a Google Business listing that’s up to date
  • Popping into local pet shops, groomers, or events as a friendly face
  • Booking a stand at the local fair

Because presence builds trust.
And trust builds bookings.

So next time you tell yourself, “I don’t have time for marketing,” remember my fiancé didn’t need a strategy. He just needed a decent coffee and a consistent presence.

You’ve already got the skills.
Now it’s time to make sure your dream clients can see them.

Here to serve you and help you fetch more clients 😉

P.S. If you are ever passing through Whitchurch, Hampshire – make sure you drop into Kudos for a smashing coffee and a chocolate cookie ( My order’s a cappuccino 😉 )
